No cornering of the talent market in the ACC like 10 years ago
Some great players in the conference, but you do not need to be a great player at any position to play a ton of minutes in this conference anymore. Most amusing is the persistence of the "recruiting services" (as a former coach used to refer to them) in being so wrong. We saw how pathetic UNC was last year, after having many of the highest ranked classes year after year. Maybe Breschi can't coach? The era we are in is the same era we've been in for the last several years. It is an inefficient sport in terms of market knowledge in the pipeline, because the pipeline is too big and some coaches apparently cannot focus, work hard enough to figure it out themselves, or think strategically enough about what they need--do you need a recruiting class of 6 scorers and no middies who can and want to play D? At that rate, you end up with a team of 45+, 20+ have severe limitations, and most can't really help the cause. The "services" see a kid who scores 5 or 6 a game against club teams with no defensive scheme and they put him on the list. Go with what some guy or gal from IL is saying at your peril.
