I'm not so sure - pipes and pocket shots killed us, but so did penalties
In the first quarter, we couldn't breath without drawing a flag. We played a LOT of man-down early.That is going to wear on you. It also set a tone, and a score that we never recovered from. I agreed with Cottle at the time, when he said the game was a lot closer than the score at half.
I actually thought we outplayed them in the first half. But we got burned by poor shooting and penalties. Not making excuses. We needed to step it up in the second half, and instead we laid an egg. Those two quick Loyola goals to start the 3Q were the death nell....
