Don't put much stock in polls early season or not

Since the arrival of Coach O'Connor I place my trust in him, his staff and our team. I'm believing he's as happy as I am that the polls don't seem to find Virginia attractive right now. He can take the time that is necessary to work on bringing these men together to play the game of baseball as he has taught these many years.
To work with and test various line-ups, to monitor positional play, to work with the pitchers and how they respond to game situations. Coach O'Connor use to say in the early years I'll let you know after 2 or 3 weeks where we stand. More recently he's been more inclined to say little after 6 or 7 weeks.
Each team is unique in it's own right. Working on and coming up with the right chemistry can now take an entire year as it did in 2015.
So my theory is to enjoy each game in and of itself. Whether the team we play is rated high or not at all. It's a matter of playing our very best each and every time out. Do what you have to do to walk away a winner each and every day. IMHO That's what each Fan is really about.
