When it comes to expectations, I'm usually fairly conservative, preferring

to set a level that would leave me "minimally satisfied" but seeing that we'd be capable of much better.

This season is quite the challenge in trying to figure what we're likely to do. Not easy to lose your top three scorers. At the same time, we have four returning players who are battle tested. Diakite, Key and Huff are all capable of averaging 10+ points per game. And Kihei Clark has proven to be an excellent distributor. So the questions really pertain to how much Casey Morsell and T-Wold add to our offense and catch on to the Pack Line at the other end of the floor.

Compounding the challenge of figuring out how well our upcoming season will go is an ACC schedule that is "unbalanced" … two games each vs. UNC, FSU, Louisville and Syracuse (with our game at the Dome our first game of the year).

Non-conference games at Purdue and vs. St. John's or ASU will offer additional challenges, as will our home game vs. Vermont.

When all is said and done, my floor (again speaking conservatively) is set at 20-10 (12-8 ACC/8-2 OOC). This would place us in the Big Dance. Given the talent on this team, however, it would not surprise me to see us finish at 24-6 (15-5 ACC/9-1 OOC).

There is so much uncertainty, with the only sure thing being the coaching staff's ability to develop our talent and improve during the course of the season.

We will see! Needless to say … Go 'Hoos!
