Picked up a Weber Spirit II E-310 from Fairfax Propane on Friday. Used it twice so far but not yet for steaks—I can tell it heats faster and likely runs hotter than the old one, so I want to get a better feel for it before I risk overcooking a nice steak.
The tricky part was getting the old one off the deck without dumping loads of gunk on the carpets in the house. Ultimately, I disassembled the old grill as much as I could and we then lifted it over the side of the deck and dropped it into the backyard (after I moved the paving stones so they wouldn’t crack on impact). Felt sort of like abandoning a longtime faithful member of the household to drop it like this, but it also felt sort of like a “well done, good and faithful servant” kind of moment. (Trash men took all the parts with today’s pickup.)
