Not sure why someone would want to open a restaurant in the city

Between the mob rule situation in city government, the excessive meals tax, the lack of concerted effort from the city to try to rebuild tourism, competition and chronic perceived parking issues, what could go wrong? I can't remember the last time I had dinner within city limits, and I spend a lot of money on food. Not a conscious decision, more of an outcome of my particular circumstances.
After Keith Woodard got railroaded by the leaders of the mob, I think it is increasingly clear that the city isn't interested in sustainable economic development.
