Haha. Yeah, Cam has been performing well as a pro. I thought that would

probably happen, but he'd been kind of stagnant the past couple of years -- even if you discount the time bookending his injury, he didn't look like he was turning a corner. I thought as a freshman that he was a sure-fire 1st round pick by the time he was draft-eligible. I'm glad he is making the adjustments as a pro, though! Hitting .243 at Low A will probably mean that he will start next season at Low A, barring a fantastic spring -- but a decent start should earn him a promotion to Winston-Salem.

I'm pretty excited about the Carolina League next year. With a little bit of performance at Low A, Noah Murdock will probably be with Wilmington; Derek Casey and Andy Weber should be with Myrtle Beach (and maybe Caleb Knight - though I think he's going to have to put up huge numbers to be considered anything other than an organizational catcher); and if Nathan Kirby pitches well this fall and stays healthy, and is still in the Brewers' system, he will likely be with Carolina. Plus Simmons.
