I also watched us win Natty's at Illinois and at Baylor.

IMO had Brandon stayed for 3/4 years as has been the custom with UVA tennis I think our talent level this year would be pretty close, but still a notch below those championship teams.

IMO unless a couple of next year's recruits are really good (meaning being in and winning regularly in our top 3 by their sophomore years), we will likely struggle to be an over.500 ACC team in 2021. Heck, after today's bad loss to UCF with apparently everyone healthy, we are one key injury at the top of our lineup away from a bad year and it may not be all that good even with no key injuries.
Our coaches know the situation better than any of us Sabre posters and I am confident they are working hard trying get things fixed this year and in the future.

I may not be recall correctly, but Boland's last class now juniors (Lord and Ross and Kyrlo(sp?) who transferred after only a year, has not yet lived up to my expectations for a class with 3 blue chip recruits and I believe one was #1 or #2 and another was in the top 10. So just maybe Boland should get some of the blame for our struggles.
The one good thing in college tennis unlike most college sports is that if you can get a top 5/10 national level talent like Brandon to play and win at #1 and slide everyone down a spot , things can get better quickly.
