Good for him, I checked his ranking history (link)

He was #188 this past September and then dropped to #270 in January, because of an injury (I don't know what it was) and he could not play or he just played badly.

It sure looks like Thai is back and that is great for him. Winning a Challenger is tough to do and he beat several top 100 players in the process. This win might get him into the quallies at Indian Wells and Miami as a WC, which are both ATP 1,000 events.
