I’m not a coach.. But I’m going to guess that CTT and her staff

have shown how to deal with screens and more importantly how to properly “close out” on shooters. It’s up to the kids to execute at game time. More times than not we are lackadaisical in our efforts. And it’s not just the freshmen. I actually saw a player 2 ft away from shooter not move while another player runs from the paint to contest the shot. Call it lazy, tired or whatever..it’s how you lose games that you should of or could have won.
Mistakes, bad shots and bad possessions are part of the game but have to be minimized. The coaches have to show kids their strengths and show them what it looks like when they do things outside that...” good idea but when you put the ball on the floor we are gambling when we shouldn’t be". That’s part of coaching..I wonder how CTT is dealing with this challenge because there are still too many STUPID possessions at critical times.
Tonight we got thru it.
