Biggest issue is scholarship limits

Coaches already expect some scholarships off the books as seniors graduate and then incoming freshman come in to replace them. So does the NCAA temporarily suspend limits?? And what about teams that take advantage of the extra year versus those that don't? Some teams would have say 16 scholarship players whereas others could have 14, for example. That doesn't seem fair.

And as you note, where does the money come from to fund both a 5th year senior and a freshman taking up the same scholarship under the original limits? It seems unworkable in any fashion I can think of. It sucks for these kids, particularly the seniors, but I can't see a way through this that works.
