How would that work for families?

Say 40-year-old Dad has diabetes and needs to be quarantined. Do Mom and kids also stay locked up in the house (no work or school or errands), or do we find/build housing for Dad (and millions of others like him throughout society) to stay isolated from their families and everyone else for 12+ months?

How do we enforce the older and those with health conditions staying in quarantine? Because the problem isn't the individual risk to the people in that would be easy to say, well if Grandma ignores quarantine she takes on the risk and the blame for her own potential death. However, the risk is actually to society as a whole because if enough Grandmas ignore quarantine we're back at square 1 with overburdening the healthcare system, which is what we're trying to avoid.

(I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with the approach, just playing devil's advocate because I think it's a lot more complex with a lot more implications than some folks wanting to rush back to get the economy going are thinking of.)
