I think Squash scholarships are funded by an endowment from an alum. To me


The first two criteria would be a sport in which we aren’t very competitive and a sport that has not seen a recent and significant financial commitment in terms of facilities. And any cutting would have to stay in compliance with Title IX so you’d have to chop away at both men’s and women’s sports. Rowing, for instance, has a ton of scholarships so you’d have to axe at least two if not three men’s programs to stay in balance.

I would really hate to see any sport get eliminated but if I were in charge and had to do it, the top of my list would be volleyball, wrestling, golf (women’s team might be spared for compliance) and track and field.
