Somebody read this interview shared by Barron's and explain to me how

we aren't overreacting to COVID-19 SPECIFICALLY in terms of the way we're describing it. The quote to which I'm referring is when the person being interviewed says "But right now, this is about ensuring that the world has access to a stable energy supply through the worst pandemic in history."

The worst pandemic in history? Does this guy know that history started long before 2020? The Black Death killed 200,000,000 people and this guy calls COVID-19 "the worst pandemic in history"?
