Sorry to belabor a point I have made here before, but IMO

Pedroso has recruited as well in his first two classes (Nakashima, Goetz, Alshon and Fresen) as Boland typically did, but losing Nakashima and now probably Alshon has really hurt UVA tennis in the shortened 2020 season and going forward. We can recover and become a top 10 team and maybe a top 5 team, if he continues that level of recruiting, which is why this coming year's 3 man class is crucial. On paper it looks pretty strong. A major non Pedroso related factor has been that Boland's last 3 man class other than Ross who is a solid top 3 player for us, but not a national top 10ish player has proven to be below Boland's previous standards.

I am reasonably optimistic about the future of UVA men's tennis. IMO Pedroso deserves a few more years, before it is fair to judge him as a tennis coach. I am sure that following Boland and his 4 Natty's is a very tough job.
