So basically, we're going to have football even if it's in the Spring

That's what everyone will be coming back to - football needs to happen. If it can't be August-January then it will be January-June. If you told every AD that they would get their football revenue for the year, none of these discussions would be happening. If we get a vaccine by end of year, then January football is doable, just will be cold as heck for the B10 and the other Northern leagues, then hot as blazes for May home games in Miami. If the bowls are in June then suddenly Detroit and NYC don't look so horrible.

If it really is 18 months for a vaccine from January 2020 then next school year is a crapshoot anyway. If students aren't in school then sports can't happen.

I posed to my wife, why don't they do a limited return to school. Take the big lectures, and make them virtual classes that people take from their dorm room. The smaller classes, no problem. Dorms aren't that different from apartments where people live today, and that leaves the dining halls where takeout might be an option. She said that this type of thing could work if students followed rules. However, 18-22 year olds don't follow rules, and even if the school did the right thing, there would be social situations where there would be mobs of people.

Who knows.
