Purdue really has the most interesting model going. They have a foot


squarely in both camps. In addition to their main campus in West Lafayette, a couple years ago they bought Kaplan online eduction and re-branded it Purdue Global. So they have a huge on line platform.

As for their residential campus, even though they are large (38,000 +/-) it doesn't feel overwhelming. They have tried to densify and keep sprawl to a minimum. More importantly, they have not raised tuition in several years. Unheard of in higher education.
