I hate this, primarily because it will mean the end of summer collegiate

baseball. I'm not willing to give up the Cape Cod League just to start games a month later.

I feel like 2020 is the year that baseball died. Season cancelled a month into play, with no CWS; 5 round draft; no summer collegiate baseball; MLB, if they play, will have a DH in both leagues and a ton of strange accommodations (like regional pods of teams) (but they probably won't play, because both sides are too greedy and they will never agree on all the changes); and proposals on the table to overhaul college baseball that will be the death knell of summer collegiate leagues, which are an amazing tradition, and to slash the bottom two levels out of the minor leagues (which may happen anyway just due to the economic devastation of COVID-19). Oh, and there are already D-I schools that have dropped baseball because of COVID-19 economics. Not to mention that it's possible students don't even set foot on campus in 2020-2021.

This is all just too depressing.
