Correct. Almost all programs have athletes who have overcome

serious chronic medical conditions to play at the highest levels of college sports. Think of athletes at UVA who have asthma, Sickle Cell trait, autoimmune disorders, diabetes, and undiagnosed cardiac arrhythmias. We have had them in the past and likely have some with these conditions now. They are at very high risk.

It’s not just about the athlete, but their families, including children and grand parents. And the housekeepers, cafeteria staff, maintenance people who they would come into contact with.
