I like this idea with one tweaking - move the conference championships up

2 weeks to early June along with the selection show and the rest of the schedule finishing with the CWS starting right after July 4th and finishing by July 14th. This also allows players on non-selected teams to be available for summer leagues or the last two summer school sessions. Two other considerations:

1. Conference play now begins the first weekend in March and ends the second weekend in May - move this schedule to start the third weekend in March and finish by the of May (with one week off for school exams etc.). Shorten the collegiate season by 3-5 games and only have one week of OOC games to get ready for the conference games, so start the season March 11. Northern teams would only travel 1-2 weeks until a home game for them versus the first month of games.

2. By having the selection show earlier in June, the summer collegiate leagues could start by the end of June and add a few final players (say 2 more pitchers and 2 more position players each team) after starting as the NCAAT teams lose. By July 1st the NCAAT tournament would be down to Super Regionals (16 teams) under this tweaked scheduled, and then 8 shortly after July 1st. So the summer leagues could either start on time as they do now with less big time players (probably not desirable) or shorten their season to 6-7 weeks and have most of the talent to draw from as they do now.
