Especially at a school like ECU


Their swimmers probably have a higher academic profile than the average student there. ROI isn't so easily measured with swimming at a school like ECU.

They probably have better careers, stronger connection to the school and give back more over their careers.

As bad as BC has been in many Olympic sports, it's not a bad model for schools moving forward during covid. I would hope UVA adopts this policy in a worst case scenario.
