Others have more intelligent opinions

There are several pitchers who post here and they would have real insight.

From my vantage point, there were stories posted here of schools recruiting against us because of Kuhn's philosophies. That said, there have been a handful of pitchers from UVA who made it to the big leagues but not many. Few more pitched in MiLB. Sean Doolittle is the biggest name of course, although he was drafted as a hitter.

Danny Hultzen pitched 6 games for the Cubs last year - hitting the majors at age 30, took a long time due to injuries. Branden Kline also got a cup of coffee with the Orioles last year. Artie Lewicki pitched 17 games for the Tigers across the 2017-2018 seasons. Tyler Wilson made 42 appearances going 8-10 with a 5.02 ERA for the Orioles in 2015-2017, and I believe now is pitching in Korea. Final player of the Kuhn era is Michael Schwimer, who had 47 games with the Phillies in 2011-12.

Other than Doc, none of those folks had stellar MLB careers but they all made it, and I still haven't given up on Hulzen.

I don't know how much of "our guys didn't make it to MLB" is Kuhn vs how much of it is "it's just really darn hard to make it to MLB."
