It is interesting - I'm just annoyed that we have to deal with their dirty

laundry. The players need to be a little less greedy. The owners need to recognize that they can't have a season and expect to pretend like it's not a season with respect to key labor terms.

The players are going to make out well financially, considering the owners are really only going to be receiving tv and merch revenues, and depending on their stadium deals, might lose a ton of money in stadium rent, utilities, and other operating costs, with zero ability to recoup through ticket and food sales.

Plus, it's having a trickle-down effect of killing the minor leagues. The minors can't restart until the majors do. And a lot of them are really hurting. Add in that the owners are trying to contract a sizeable percentage of the low minors, and it's not good. And teams with high stadium rents are near bankruptcy, as they don't have tv revenues to fall back on - they are operating with skeleton crews and hoping to sell enough bobbleheads and t-shirts to keep the lights on until play resumes.

Meanwhile, I think Sean Doolittle is one of the only players who seems to give a damn about the minor league players -- who aren't exactly making a ton of money even when they are playing.

I really hope they work this out and are able to start play before August. This is a great sport and they're killing it.
