Great news for Daniel! It's interesting to see how the teams are using the

expanded 30/60-man rosters. Looks like the contenders are largely using what would have been their normal 40-man roster and supplementing with a handful of prospects, a couple of extra catchers, and a boatload of ML-ready pitchers.

KC looks like they took about 20 of their top 30 prospects, including a few guys who couldn't hit close to .200 last year in Advanced A ball. But they are putting almost their entire ridiculous group of 2018 first-round picks, all college starting pitchers, in the pool -- not only Danny, but Brady Singer, Jackson Kowar, and Kris Bubic. Only Jonathan Bowlan - who pitched very well last year at 2 levels and threw a no-hitter in Advanced A - was left off, in lieu of Austin Cox, the Royals' 2nd round pick (another college starter).

They may be a little weak on the offensive side, but they might have the most loaded taxi squad of any team in the majors. They will be able to summon a seasoned, college starter from a ACC, PAC-12, or SEC school, who throws in the 90s, to pitch in almost any role. (Cox went to Mercer; he's the only "outlier.")

I'm not crazy about the DH and extra-innings rules, but this will be a very interesting season, assuming it actually happens...
