You joke, but they already did that with intentional walks.

Part of the risk with an IBB was always that you throw four wide, and have to then get back into a rhythm of throwing strikes, and they took that element entirely out of it. Plus, that's four chances for a wild swinger like Vladimir Guerrero to get a hit.

A HR doesn't have the same degree of risk, but you do have to run, and have to touch all the bases.
