He also made a HUGE leap between his first partial-year of pro ball and

last year, his first full season. IIRC, he was sitting low 90s, but by the start of last season, he was sitting 94-95, touching 97 often. And not only did he not give up any control - if anything, he GAINED control. K's definitely gets some credit for working with him over his 3 years at UVA -- but the Royals really helped him get to the next level (figuratively and literally). Before the season, he was a clear 3rd behind Singer and Kowar (which made sense, because of draft order), but by the end of the season, be was the best pitcher of the 3, hands down.
