High-risk populations are those people in nursing homes and senior living facilities because of the level of screening and testing that’s going on. The rest of us in higher risk categories young and old, can try to isolate as much as possible. I’m only having contact with kids and grandkids as is my partner but she works in a hospital, and I walk past UVA students every day who were ignoring social distance rules, much less wearBig a mask .
Asymptomatic people spread the disease and right now it is spreading rapidly. There are at risk people in all age groups. Medical professionals believe that we are seeing a surge in hospitalization rates already and we will see a surge in death rates again. Cities like Houston are basically at capacity now for Covid dedicated space and are having to scramble. If we overrun hospitalization capacity, suffering and death rates will further increase.As the current death count climbs over 130,000 people
