Still disappointed about Werner-from a Liverpool perspective- for 2 reasons

1. While Covid has certainly hurt Liverpool more than the self funding clubs like Chelsea and City (and potentially Newcastle), they still have more money coming in from EPL championship. It is not like they are a "poor" club. $50 million is a bargain for Werner. He should be going for close to $80-$90 in the pre-COVID open market. Plus, I really do think he chooses Liverpool and Klopp as long as the salary is competitive.

2. Not many guys can play all three up front positions AND instinctively track back to the ball. One of the underrated things about Salah and Mane (Firmino already gets his due) is their willingness to play defense. As mentioned before, you can. really see the difference when Origi (or Sturridge from 2019) is in instead of Firmino. Someone up front like Kane, Aguerro, Lakaku, Aubameyang, Lacazette (OK anyone from Arsenal playing anywhere) just would not work in Klopp's system despite their extreme talent. Werner would work, and I think that it is rare for an elite goal scorer to naturally play like that. Chelsea will waste that side of him if how Giroud, Willian etc . . have been asked to play is any guide.
