Is interesting! Why? Here are a few reasons--- and personal fun fact

A school undergrads- 300, UVa undergrads- 16,000.
So only 1 in 50 is A school. That trims the odds a lot.
Distinct admissions process- have to do extra to enter A school- "Portfolio"--- so, I am guessing, A school students have a bit more of a singular focus than the 'follow the path from high school to college" folks. star high school athletes may be less likely to have that focus.
Reputation of a lot of work/late nights -- I could see some worried about conflicts with sports schedules and projects. Wonder if coaches even discourage it a little (even without meaning to)--- BTW, my experience back in the day was that A schoolers (I lived in Lambeth, so walked by/through all the time) went through long stretches of easy days and then those project crams---so not quite as brutal as it might seem.
Maybe some left-brain/right brain thing going with architecture???
Often wondered if I should have gone A school-- have always liked the topic. (SEAS turned out OK, but, still, I wonder). I also often wonder if I should have gone Comm school because, well, girls.
Since I am getting personal, I will let you in on perhaps my biggest college regret-- a NROTC buddy was the Volleyball team manager. When he graduated, I was in a position to possible step into his shoes..but didn't pursue it. BIG mistake, I think - I absolutely love the sport and certainly wouldn't have minded spending time with the team (I am 6'6" for context)!
