Stanford dropping 11 of 36 varsity sports as cost cutting measure (link)...


not sure I'd have expected this to happen but these are trying and uncertain times for athletics. Sports to be dropped include: men’s and women’s fencing, field hockey, lightweight rowing, men’s rowing, co-ed and women’s sailing, squash, synchronized swimming, men’s volleyball and wrestling.
