The minimum SAT score needed for recruited athletes to be considered for

the Ivy league schools is 1200 with 1600 being a perfect score. Much lower than the average Ivy student. My son was recruited by three Ivy schools and they all said 1200 was the minimum score needed for a student athlete. I was a little surprised at the time the minimum was only 1200. It still didn't sway my son though. He grew up a UVA fan and had his heart set on going here so when UVA started recruiting him it took all of 5 minutes for him to say yes. He's a current honor roll student here. He LOVES his teammates and his roommates. I'm so happy for him. Best choice he ever made.
