So the rules should be different for men?


First, it is 5 to play 4. So outside of devastating injuries (that generally cause you to miss 80% or more than of a season) most do that. So you have found a nothing burger.

However you stated "I would propose that woman scholarships be 5 year." So is your contention then that men's should be longer?

Finally there are plenty of masters programs that, when combined with a bachelor, would require 6 completed years. She is entering year six so your statement "she should have already completed a masters" is a complete lack of knowledge of the reality that most masters programs would involve an additional two year commitment beyond the completion of a bachelors. Can think of multiple student athletes (not at UVA) who have completed JD and MBA's when RS and injury RS.
