Interesting piece on Seton Hall making acquisitions, expanding their brand

You would think Harvard, Yale and Princeton would be all over that. How about UVA?

The notion is that well run colleges with strong admin systems in place and good brand identification could pick up failing college facilities on the cheap and establish outposts all over, broadening their reach.

Every strong brand has to worry about over-extending and watering down the brand, but if there ever were a time to do this, this seems to be it. There are going to be nice campuses going unused because of failed higher education schools on the market soon enough.
