For example, we went from a southern state to a new England state for a hiking trip this week, and to get into the new England state we had to have a negative coronavirus test within 72 hours of our visit. The New England state was fairing well, and did not want to be sullied by dirty, infected southerners.
Now I look t the Rt factor site at the end of my trip, and the southern state I live in has a comfortably lower Rt (infection) rate than the new England state I am in.
Thus, in fairness, my home state should be insisting I clean up before coming back in from the dirtier New England state.
The problem is mainly that news lags by about 2-3 weeks, I think. Arizona has the 2nd lowest infection rate in the country, but it still gets lumped in news articles as a dangerous state, and that is simply wrong information at this point. [Post edited by BuckHoo at 08/01/2020 11:28AM]
