Hate to say it, sound mean, but here’s the truth: it’s not a kid’s decisio

as to opt out or not, it is up to the coach. A kid can say ‘I would like to come back for a 5th/6th year’, but coach can say ‘thanks son, I have 3 new recruits coming in, no extra scholarship money, we’ve got to move on with our lives’.

Plus, if they are stars, they are probably moving on anyways. Others will want to move on with their lives. I just don’t think it will be as big as a deal as some people think, but I have definitely been wrong before.
