Isn't this a recipe for a transfer tidal wave next spring?

I presume the NCAA will enact the one-free-transfer-without-sitting rule. If so:

It seems 90% of freshmen basketball players thinks about transferring. You hear that in the LRA former-player interviews. Almost uniformly, you hear that the player was not satisfied with his minutes and role that first year and thought hard about transferring. When you guarantee you won't have to sit a year, transfers will go up.

Then you'll have cases scattered across the country where players decide to stay that extra year. So a freshman could be facing dissatisfaction with minutes and role and then be confronted with a teammate coming back who the freshman presumed would be gone. Another reason to transfer.

Then there's the impact of potential NIL revenue. I'll develop that in another post.
