They'd have to increase the scholarship limits and the school would need to


be willing to fully fund them up to the limit if they did. Otherwise, everybody can't stay.

My guess is that, unless both of those things happen at a great number of schools (unlikely, IMHO), we are in for the mother of all transfer portal activity. My take is that the limitation will act like a giant bladder and push the talent downward. You'll have a lot of players in the major conferences that wind up transferring down to smaller conference teams and players from the smaller conferences getting pushed down to D2 or D3.
