every time. It should be good enough to be tempting.

But you are right. You do see that a lot in today’s game. Starters used to be expected to go at least 7. Now 5 or 6 is considered a good start so pitchers don’t have to be as judicious with their pitches. High strike out guys have always thrown more pitches but there are more of them these days and young pitchers try to avoid contact more than the Glavines and Madduxes
