2015 was the last time they played in a football stadium pre Final Four

the South regional was at NRG Stadium in Houston (and if you want to play semantics, the East regional was at the Carrier Dome too, but that place also has been homecourt for a hoops team for 40 years).

I'm pretty sure the NCAA's specific policy now (dating back to a 2013 decision, 2015 was already booked by that point) is that regionals CANNOT be awarded to football stadium UNLESS that stadium has never hosted the NCAA Tournament and has been awarded the following year's Final Four. BUT they have also booked first-time Final Four locations three times since that decision (2017, 2019, 2020) and only one of them had ever hosted tournament games (State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ)
