Maybe I am running with the wrong crowd but it seems geared more to

I have friends who have been stationed near there for nearly 20 years and it was an awesome place to go when I was also 25. Now it's a bit of a grind to chill with them.

Breakfast: Broken Egg near Mary Esther is a very popular breakfast/brunch spot. Expect to wait. I like it but you can get a breakfast like that at any of a number of places outside of the panhandle of Florida, for whatever reason there just aren't many spots for breakfast down there

Lunch: Hemingway's Pensacola Beach... kind of a tourist trap but also legitimately good, more of an older crowd there

Late lunch: McGuire's Irish Pub in Destin proper, really cool history there if you are into the Air Force at all, hundreds of thousands of dollar bills stapled to the wall, all signed. Decent enough Irish fare and a signature drink called the Irish Wake with a souvenir glass. Definitely more of an evening spot

Supper: Bochamp's Oyster house or Louisiana Lagniappe, most of the supper fare down there is the same- casual attire, seafood, steaks, oysters, etc. Most everything in Destin is good. I omitted all the chains but they are there too

Daytime activity: We knew girls who worked at the Gulfarium on Okaloosa Island, a unique little nature museum/petting zoo/live animal show kind of thing, kind of a cross between Busch Gardens and the Virginia Living Museum
