Yahoo article describing Muncy's throw home as "off-target":

"Taylor picked up the ball and fired it to Max Muncy in the infield, who made an off-target throw to Will Smith at the plate..."

It looked to me as if Muncy knew that they had the runner at home & that he (Muncy) took a little bit off the throw. He kind of short-armed it.
