Mamadi Diakite, 6-9 senior forward, Virginia. “There’s value there in the second round, coming from Virginia where he’s been a winner his whole career. Skills aren’t great, but you hope he can make an open 3. He’s really improved from his freshman year. Big-time athlete, really quick jumper, great feet. He’s already 23 so he’s a finished product. I like his ability to rebound and go. He can be a little too chatty on the court. He needs to be a poor man’s Dennis Rodman. I’m not sure what his position is. Some people say he’s a backup five, but he’s slight so I don’t know about that.”
