Bloomfield was such a great, distinctive player

Influenced a ton of others. One of the very best guitarists I know who acknowledges Bloomfield's huge influence is the fabulous Phil Keaggy, who I first saw in Richmond at the String Factory in 1971 or so. Phil mostly does the Christian circuit these days, but here's a video from right around the time I saw them - kinda long and Phil's voice is very, um, piercing on this one - try skipping to the start of his solo around the 5' mark - you can really hear Super Session-era Bloomfield when he kicks it in again at 6'.
