Exactly. People wrote them off in 2018 and they were actually worse then
than they are this year. We should have put them to bed at 4-7. They squeaked out a win in OT over us and then added a terrible Marshall team to get bowl eligibility.
They were in total turmoil and many here were proclaiming they had “quit”. Nope, rivalry game and they played hard, up 14-0 at halftime.
Last year, same folks proclaimed they quit on the season after being demoralized by a bad Duke team at home, 45-10 or whatever it was. The following week they jumped Miami 28-0 on their way to a nice winning streak.
They aren’t great but a lot of wishful thinking that they quit. So many narrow losses. Yesterday was the only drubbing. [Post edited by Diehl at 11/22/2020 12:18PM]
