No difference. If the ball goes forward, it's a pass. If it goes backward,
it's a run. If the ball goes 1 yard forward like with Keytaon Thompson or with a bubble screen on a throw way out wide, it still went forward and it's a pass. If the ball goes 1 yard backward on an option pitch or on a throw way out wide that goes backward (to keep trick plays alive perhaps?), it still went backward and that's a run.
