Good guy and a hell of a ball player. Agreed, should be in the HOF.

His OPS+ is up there with the legends. The only reason he's not in is because when he was eligible to be elected by the BBWAA, he didn't have the accumulation stats that a guy who played for 20 years might have. But for the time he played (I think he had about 11 or 12 full seasons IIRC?), he was as dominant a slugger as MLB had.

(Of course, I think the BBWAA has snubbed a lot of guys who should be in. Mark Grace, Mickey Vernon, Fred McGriff, Lou Whitaker, Dwight Evans, Dale Murphy, Joe Carter.
