11.7 is obviously bad for the players.

But it may help the sport. It spreads the talent across D1 / JUCO and controls cost for programs allowing more teams to field teams.

Definitely a delicate balance. You certainly want to increase the number of allowable scholarships but you don't want to make the sport cost prohibitive nor do you want to let the SEC and Texas warehouse all the talent.

I'm not sure what the right number should be.
