Cause good coaches know not where you start but where you finish


Most overrated stat is starting. It is about who is on the court when game is on the line and she is there.

Sure Ivey is toying with lineups for a variety of reasons (easier to do when you have a bench full of 4 and 5 star talent). Some players play better assessing the floor from the bench, some lineups start off hotter with less talented players on the floor bringing the juice.

Sam was the #1 recruit in the class but at a place like ND she doesn't have to carry the team which will actually make her stats better. Key is figuring out who complements her game.
