Thanks. Yes, when you have that much speed on a team, it has to be a
pleasure to coach. So many weapons on this team, offensive, defensive, and pitching. I haven't been this excited about a UVA team in years. The 2015 championship run was great, as were the CWS years, but this brings back the feeling of the early K's years when we led the nation in ERA and had dominant players like Sean Doolittle and Joe Koshansky and Ryan Zimmerman. And speedy guys like Greg Miclat. I think we have the team ethos AND the tools, and while I can't be truly objective, I think that even if I were not a UVA die-hard and alum, I would take this team over any team in the nation right now. Vandy and Florida MIGHT have a slight edge on the front end of the rotation -- but I'm not even 100% sure about that. Our weekend starters were pretty damn impressive last year, and they're all back. In any given weekend series, if you give us two games to beat Rocker and Leiter, I don't think you could definitively say that we're at a disadvantage with 2 out of the 4 of Vasil, McGarry, Savino, and Abbott pitching against them.
