Saban as the Dolphins HC showed what he is. That is he is a good coach, but

in the NFL where teams draft and the goal is for all teams to be competitive he was just a good coach.
At Bama where he can "get" a 2-3 deep roster of every top player, be bigger and stronger and faster than all the other teams and have talent well over the entire country then he is the best.
He knew in Miami he would just be a regular coach so he ran back to college asap. Any people wanting to expand the playoffs are nuts because all you will see is an extra round of blowouts. Even Clemson and Ohio st, which are the next tier of programs have to upset Alabama to win. A team like LSU can have a miracle year where it all comes together, but basically Bama is going to win it most of the time with Clemson or OSU spoiling it from time to time.
I know everyone on here thinks he actually does this without cheating but I look at him like K from Duke on a larger level and I do not think either program is clean.
